English immersion for all children as early as 3 years old

One of the essentials of the philosophy of Maria Montessori is to educate children to help them adjust to the world of tomorrow. One of the tools to reach this goal is to propose English immersion from the age of 3.

Children learn English as if it was their mother tongue during their sensitive period of language acquirement, and they absorb the cultural environment attached to it.

The assimilation of a new spoken language, with its different accents and subtleties, comes effortlessly through listening and repeating.

In Primary Class, ages 2 ½ to 5, half of each school day is dedicated to an immersive English program.

In the Lower Elementary Class, ages 5 to 7, children work with materials conceived for native English-speaking students, providing in-depth teaching of the language, including grammar, vocabulary, essays and listening exercises.

Students with sufficient proficiency can be prepared for the Cambridge Young Learners English Tests (YLE) from the age of 6.

An Important Asset
for Secondary School

Children who have received an immersive English education since primary levels exit elementary school with an in-depth knowledge of the English language, providing them with an important asset for secondary school.

They have developed a profound sensitivity to the English language which they maintain throughout their school life. They are able to have a conversation, read, and watch films or TV shows without subtitles. Most of them obtain grades far above average on oral exams for the Baccalauréat, entry to the Grandes Ecoles or admission to English-speaking Colleges.

Non-Francophone Children

The Montessori Bilingue Paris 17 school welcomes non-francophone children. They follow the same immersive program as French-speaking students in both French and English, which helps them learn French rapidly and effortlessly. Educators pay particular attention to help them adapt and get acquainted with our language and our country.
